ASTRON metalware. ‘Astron’ metal structures

ASTRON technology opens up a lot of possibilities for construction using metal structures. Building width and height, roofing slope meet all the customer”s size and space requirements. ASTRON buildings have all the benefits of buildings based on light-gauge constructions and allow integrating traditional building materials such as stone, brick, glass, wood, and concrete. Wide range of colors for wall plating and roof covering allows creating different color solutions.

If necessary, “SarmatSpecStroy” construction company (subsidiary of “Sarmat” holding company) delivers quickly-erected buildings or metalware for building construction.

ASTRON designs and produces metal structures of different constructive patterns and for various purposes. ASTRON solutions allow reducing steel intensity of the construction without decreasing strength property.

ASTRON metalware:

Main load-carrying framework
Additional load-carrying framework

Main load-carrying framework is a complex of structural elements which relocate external load to the foundation. Load-carrying frameworks based on ASTRON light-gauge constructions allow achieving optimal free space, can be easily reshaped in accordance with building type, ensure quick, safe and easy assemblage and can also be easily accommodated to different ground types.

Main load-carrying framework based on ASTRON light-gauge construction includes:

Primary truss
Butt trusses
Stabilizing tie elements
Consoles for bridge crane ways

Primary trusses

Main load-carrying framework

Intermediate truss is a closed rigid frame which consists of welded double T-sections with solid wall. When using modular trusses, we apply pipe or doubletee hot-rolled intermediate columns or columns made of composite welded sections.
The complex is complemented with diagonals, fixing bolts and dead end bolts.
As a rule, the trusses are jointed at the base. If necessary, any truss can be rigidly fixed.

Butt truss

ASTRON metalware

Butt truss is a lightweight metal construction which consists of welded or hot-rolled columns bearing trussing made of cold-formed Z-section. Butt truss is completed with assembly bolts, dead end bolts and wind-resisting tension bars. Cold-formed elements are galvanized. The covering of composite welded or hot-rolled section is analogous to the covering of intermediate trusses.

Stabilizing tie elements

ASTRON metalware

Stabilizing tie elements are used for providing longitudinal stability of the building under the influence of horizontal powers. Stabilizing tie elements are installed between roofing timbers and side wall columns. If stabilizing tie elements hinder building upkeep or spoil its looks, they can be replaced by rigidly fixed wind-resisting column or rigidly fixed wind-resisting portico.

Consoles for bridge crane ways

ASTRON metalware

Consoles for bridge crane ways are fixed on the columns

Additional load-carrying framework is a complex of elements which directly support roofing and wall plating panels and relocate climatic and additional load to the main load-carrying framework. Additional load-carrying frameworks made of ASTRON metalware do not take much space while transporting and allow installing cables in binding rafters. They also provide easy wall plating and galvanizing of all elements.

Additional load-carrying framework:

Binding rafters of roofing
Headers
Frames-chassis

Binding rafters of roofing

Fixing of binding rafters

Binding rafters are made of steel cold-formed galvanized Z-section. They are fixed on the roof timbers of the main framework and mounted with overlapping in the attaching point. Binding rafters work as a continuous beam.
Cornice binding rafter (or cornice beam) can be made of C-section or double Z-section. Assemblage is made with galvanized bolts.

Headers

Fixing of headers (as a continuous beam)

Headers are made of cold-formed galvanized Z-section. Headers are fixed as a continuous beam with overlapping in the attaching point or as an isostatic beam between the columns. These methods for fixing headers can be applied for both side and front wall.

Frames-chassis

Fixing of headers (isostatic variant)

Frames-chassis are mostly made of galvanized angle or galvanized cold-formed C- and Z-sections used for making frames and spreaders.
